Polaroid challenged us to come up with an idea to promote their Limited Edition Retinex film, and while we were at it, to explain Edwin's Retinex Theory—a brainchild of their illustrious founder.
We created a psychedelic 70's-inspired animated film starring Po, a character inspired by the iconic red shutter button typical of Polaroid products. While skating around and experiencing his own version of close encounters of the third kind, he demonstrates how the Retinex Theory fools your eyes and mind – with a little help from the narrator.
